umberto beccaria is an italian pianist, born in Mondovì in 1996. Loyal to an idea of music that is open, boundless, linked to emotions and beauty, he performs in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland  and in great venues like the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Theater Basel , BOZAR Centre for fine Arts, Erhbaar Saal Wien, Teatro Toselli Cuneo, Fazioli Concert Hall, Don Bosco Kulturzentrum Basel, Teatro Civico Vercelli, Sala Ateneu Bacau, Gare du Nord Bahnhof für Neue Musik, Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, City Concert Hall Novi Sad, Cricoteka Krakow.

Umberto develops interesting programs, that he also recorded live and in studio, including music by Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Prokofiev, Schoenberg, Schubert, Schumann, Skrjabin, Szymanowski and Andrea Ravizza, exploring the quality and texture of the sound. 

He plays with orchestra works by Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin and Mozart and he is passionate also about chamber music, collaborating with groups and soloists of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai. With María Alejandra Jiménez he forms Duo Anamorfosi, focusing on music from the 20th and 21st century.  

Active in the contemporary scene, he is very attentive and open to new music and aesthetics, premiering many pieces and collaborating with important composers of our time. 

A big part of Umberto’s musical life is the Classiche Armonie festival that founded and he organises now in Italy, bringing to his hometown Carrù great musicians of the international scene and giving to the audience the opportunity of listening to high level concerts in a friendly and warm environment.
